Coasting to Savannah - Day 2 - Ft. Walton Beach, FL

We head to Florida today!  We plan to travel along the coast from Louisianna, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.  What a day!

This was our morning in St. Francisville, La.

On our way we saw several things unique to the Gulf coast.

We counted over 20 Waffle Houses from Mississippi to Florida!  At one point it was almost one Waffle House per 5 miles.

More intersting shots from Mississippi and Alabama.

This is a draw bridge.

We took another ferry ride.  We really had to hussle to get there on time...  and arrived just in time!

That guy next to Karen (above) was extremely interested in our bikes... he took several pictures.  He also was probably the most grumpy person on the ferry.  Interesting fellow.

Herman and Bo, not sure what was so funny...

We finally made it to Ft. Walton Beach and had to walk in the sand!

Allen, Charlie and Richard sharing a beverage.

Dinner was a Dewey Destins's on the harbor.  While we waited for dinner we caught a beautiful sunset.
