Coasting to Savannah - Day 4 - Savannah, Georgia

Today we head to Savannah.  We have to cross Florida to the Atlantic coast and then head up to Savannah.

We started out in Cedar Key after a great night at the Park Place.

It was misty and wet so we didn't have much opportunity to take many pictures until .... lunch.
We stopped for lunch in Singletons Seafood Shack which was named as one of the best Dinners, Drive-ins and Dives.

After that we boarded another ferry!

Bo is waiting for his ship to come in...

We had to wait for this big guy to pass...

Then we headed off to Georgia.

We stopped and got some boiled peanuts.  They taste like red beans.

The Spanish Moss was everywhere.

Our final destination in Savannah..   The Mulberry Inn.

We walked around Savannah that evening and had dinner.

Coasting to Savannah - Day 3 - Cedar Key, Florida

Today we head to Cedar Key, Florida.  Another day beautiful coastal touring.

We started out at our hotel at Ft. Walton Beach around 8AM and headed over the to The Donut Hole.  Too many donuts too little time. Like every meal... we ate way too much.

We saw lots of big hotels and condos.

We always seem to find interesting people at the stop lights.

They didn't want to race.
We passed Tyndall Air Force Base.  It was huge.

And  a place you didn't want to explore.

Apparently Karen forgot our license plate number.

The beadh drive was beautiful even though it was misting and raining.

We finally made it to Park Place motel in Cedar Key, Florida.  What a great place to stay.

It was a short little walk over to the beach front / boardwalk for dinner.

There was quite a discussion on this place.

I gave my Dad a call... hey Dad.

Hermans Oysers. They were not up to his standards.
And then a walk around the town before settling down for the night.
